East Coast Radio (ECR), KZN’s NO.1 Hit Music Station, is delighted to announce its refreshed line-up. With a blend of seasoned radio personalities and fresh new faces, the station promises to continue delivering engaging and entertaining content to listeners across KwaZulu-Natal (KZN).
The station prides itself on maintaining consistency in retaining its talent, an approach that helps develop the best talent this country has to offer. Listener favourites remain part of the line-up, ensuring continuity and familiarity for ECR’s audience.
East Coast Breakfast with Darren, Sky, and Carmen remains the flagship show, embodying the show’s motto, ‘With Breakfast, You Get It All!’ Celebrating a year together, this dynamic trio keeps listeners engaged with cool topics, hit music, and community-centric initiatives like the Big Favour. Through the Big Favour, the show has helped countless community members, raising substantial funds and making a significant difference in the communities, including notable projects like the Tongaat relief efforts, where R2-million was raised.
Carol Ofori, your Daytime Queen, continues to inspire listeners with her show, featuring segments like Women Crush Wednesday, highlighting South African women excelling in their fields during the 9am to 12pm slot.
Danny Guselli takes over the Workday Lunch Show slot, weekdays from 12pm to 3pm, bringing a fresh perspective to midday radio with compelling discussions and great music. This move from the Weekend Top 40 highlights his growing influence and popularity.
Your drive home, hosted by Stacey and J Sbu from 3pm to 6pm, brings high-powered energy into the afternoon airwaves, delivering content that resonates with listeners and keeps them entertained on the way home.
Ndabe Zondi, a rising star who first captivated audiences during ECR’s 2021 radio presenter search competition where he was the runner-up, joins the line-up as the host of the Early Breakfast show every weekday from 4am to 6am. The station provided Ndabe with the opportunity to perfect his radio skills and learn the industry behind the scenes, and his remarkable growth makes him a valuable addition to the team.
ECR’s Programming Manager, Travis Bussiahn, shared: “We are excited to officially welcome Ndabe to our line-up. His journey from competition runner-up to a respected voice on air underscores our commitment to nurturing local talent and providing exceptional radio content to our listeners.”
Styles Mbatha takes the reins of the Weekend Top 40 slot on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm and brings some good Sunday vibes in the same time slot.
Bussiahn concluded: “Our line-up isn't just about individuals; it's about a team dedicated to serving KZN every day. As we look ahead, we're focused on bringing more exciting promotions, events, and music to our listeners, cementing ECR’s position as KZN's NO.1 hub of information and entertainment in the province.”
