Mr & Mrs Maule journey from Durban to London

From the waves of Durban to the streets of London - the Maules were on holiday!

June 2022 was the first available date for Darren Maule and his wife Anna to get to the United Kingdom since the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The trip was a chance for Anna to be reunited with her family for the first time since 2019, and for Darren to meet his in-laws.

The whirlwind week in London and Winchester coincided with the South African school holidays.

"To say we both longed for this trip is an understatement," said Darren, "I knew my Anna needed it, and I couldn’t wait to meet the family!" 

It was Darren’s first time in the UK and was a week of perfect weather, fun family gatherings, picture perfect afternoon teas, strawberries and cream, picturesque village walks, and breathtaking historic buildings.

Time in London included big bucket-list items like; trips to Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliament Square, Covent Garden, and a night at one of London’s dazzling theatres. 

Darren got to experience double decker buses, the London Underground, traditional fish and chips, pub pies, and magnificent architecture wherever he went.

‘To see my Anna reunited with her family and to feel all the love and warmth they had for me, was very special. My only regret was not being able to be there for the F1 at Silverstone on Sunday."
