The #BigFavour turns one man's nightmare into a dream come true
Updated | By Damon Beard
Bev wrote into the Big Favour to tell us about a young man she’d met and had known for a few years. We tried our best to help him out!
Listen to Thursday's Big Favour, or read the details under the podcast.
Sbuh Ntomnela stays in Hammarsdale and not only lives with, but also takes care of his elderly Gran and younger sister.
Just over a week ago, Sbuh had mentioned to Bev that he had been sleeping over at his place of work because other workers were striking, and it wasn’t safe for him to go home.

Sbuh didn’t want to strike and had chosen to carry on working.
The next call was from Sbuh telling Bev that protesters had petrol-bombed his house and burnt it to the ground - because he’d chosen to continue working.
Sbuh’s Gran and sister were in the house at the time but managed to escape the fire, but they’ve been left with nothing.
Everything was burnt to the ground.
They don’t even have clothes to wear. Nothing.
We made a call to Tim Spann – The Operations Manager, and Kyla Harman – The Marketing Trainee, from Clothing Junction who have helped us so many times in the past - and once again, they jumped on board to help with a new wardrobe of clothing for Sbuh, his Gran, and sister.
Thank you, Tim, Kyla and the team at Clothing Junction!
