These besties have hit a snag on their London to Cape Town trip...
Our favourite social media explorers are in a serious spot of bother as Edna, the affectionately named Hilux 4X4, has snapped in half!
Over the course of the last few months, a group of British adventurers have documented their intrepid journey as they have looked to traverse the African content in a 4X4. Karen, James, and Spence, the trio behind london.2.capetown, have quickly become an internet sensation for their candid and endearing portrayal of a staggering journey which has been as challenging as it has been spectacular.
The vehicle has had a few issues in the past but this is an astronomical bit of damage which will be extremely expensive to repair and the remainder of the trip is in doubt at this point.
Take a look at the video that is circulating social media:
Last night, an emergency video was released appealing to the public for any potential assistance for funding the repairs and issuing an update on the trek. Whilst some commenters have criticised their appeal, most people understand that this account has been a wonderful advocate for African tourism in general and they hope to see the trip continue.
