#DurbanStorm: A moment of light through the destruction
Updated | By Jane Linley-Thomas
St. Martin's Diocesan Home for Children was severely affected by the major storm that battered Durban. Something amazing happened when Jane gave them a call.

During the severe storms that battered KZN, St. Martins Diocesan Home for Children was hit badly and they took to their Facebook page to seek help from the community.
The home has been flooded and is in desperate need of mattresses and dry bedding. They also need torches with batteries.
Amidst the destruction, a moment of light for St. Martin's Diocesan Home for Children happened. I called Debbie Weppleman, Fundraising Manager for the school, to find out what they’re looking for and the most amazing thing happened on-air. A few 'angels' from the Gift of The Givers stepped in when they heard St. Martin's plea, they wanted to lend a hand.
Take a listen in the podcast below:
If you are able to assist in any way, please call the Home's secretary on 031 201 1261 or the principal on 072 710 6803.
