Natarah Nadesan is the only member of the East Coast Breakfast team who can take notes AND hold a note! As the only female voice on the team, “Natarah from Afara” as Darren Maule fondly refers to her, keeps the guys in check with her wit, intelligence, chutzpah and quirky humour. 

She’s the voice of reason, bringing compassion to the testosterone-fuelled team. Natarah’s also the Newswatch anchor on the show, keeping you up to date with the goings on in KZN and the rest of the world. She started her journalism career with East Coast Radio in 2007, moving here from Highway Radio. Since she’s developed into a senior member of the Newswatch team and a key player on East Coast Breakfast.

Don’t be fooled by her soft, sensitive demeanor – Natarah can give as good as she gets and is often heard putting the guys in their place!

Natarah nurtures a deep love for animals. She has a genuine interest in people which often comes across when interviewing guests on the show. Oh, Natarah loves music too and can, in fact, sing beautifully!
