SA records 3 267 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hrs

South Africa’s COVID-19 cases have breached the 40 000 mark.

A total of 40 792 infections have been registered, since the coronavirus outbreak here.
The country identified 3 267 new cases – over the past 24 hours.
There’ve been 56 more COVID-19 related deaths – pushing the national death toll up to 848.
South Africa has a recovery rate of 52,2%, 21 311 people have recovered from the virus.
Over 820 000 tests have been conducted so far.
KwaZulu Natal has confirmed 2 869 infections, 55 deaths and 1 260 recoveries.
