COVID-19 relief grant available for SA artists
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Local government says KZN's artists have not been forgotten.

It’s announced special COVID-19 relief grants for individuals and organisations in the art, culture and heritage sectors.
The Arts and Culture MEC says the fund will offer relief to people in the industry hard hit by coronavirus restrictions.
The department's Phathisa Mfuyo says many artists have been struggling to make ends meet.
She says applications for the fund need to be in by the 15th of September:
"We've opened it up for everyone to come and apply for this fund.

Non-governmental, co-corporatives, private companies, can apply for financial assistance.
She says, immediately once the president made that announcement for the lockdown on the 26th March, all events stopped which means the artists have been struggling.
"So we are calling on them and so hopefully it will assist everyone."
