Competition Terms and Conditions
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
- This competition runs on East Coast Radio with Carol Ofori weekdays between 09:00 and 12:00, from 26 November to 03 December 2021
- For a chance to be called by the station to participate on-air, entrants need to do the following:
• upload a picture of themselves on the East Coast Radio social media pages demonstrating how tired and worn-out they are, using the hashtags #ecr9495, #ReawakenYourSoul and #RatherBeInMauritius
• provide a short explanation on why Mauritius is the perfect destination to #ReawakenYourSoul
- Each day, from Monday to Thursday, one person will be selected as a finalist and taken to air to share their story of how tired and worn-out they are, and the reasons why Mauritius is the perfect destination to #ReawakenYourSoul.
- At the end of the week, on Friday 03 December 2021 the four finalists will go into a draw where one lucky finalist’s name will be randomly drawn to win a stunning, all-expenses-paid holiday for two to the 4-star deluxe C Mauritius Resort on the tropical island of Mauritius, with Mauritius Tourism, Thompsons Holidays and Air Mauritius, valued at R90 000.
- At the time of the draw each finalist will be given one last opportunity to tell listeners why they consider Mauritius to be the perfect destination to #ReawakenYourSoul.
- This prize includes flights, hotel accommodation, transfers, and all-inclusive meals package.
- The prize is not negotiable, and not transferrable. It cannot be redeemed for cash.
- East Coast Radio and Mauritius Tourism will not be held responsible for any charges or costs incurred while participating in this competition.
- East Coast Radio and Mauritius Tourism will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
- A participant will not be able to win this competition if they have won a prize on East Coast Radio within the past 90 days, whether on-air, online or via any of Primedia Broadcasting’s social media platforms.
- If the winner chosen does not comply with the Ts and Cs, his/her entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be drawn.
- Winner selection will be fully managed by East Coast Radio.
- If a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize, or contravenes the terms and conditions of this competition or of East Coast Radio, the prize will be forfeited at the sole discretion of the promoters.
- East Coast Radio and Mauritius Tourism reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
- Employees of Mauritius Tourism, Thompsons Holidays, C Mauritius resort and Constance Resorts, Air Mauritius, East Coast Radio and their immediate family and friends, are not permitted to enter the competition.
- Entrants must be 18 years old or older to qualify.
- Entrants must be in possession of a valid South African passport that does not expire within six (6) months at time of travel.
- The winner needs to be fully vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccination to accept the holiday prize.
- By entering this competition, entrants and/or the winner consent to the processing of their personal information by East Coast Radio and Mauritius Tourism for the purpose of this competition. If the participant does not consent, he/she must not enter the Competition.
- If the winner agrees to it, East Coast Radio and Mauritius Tourism may publish his/her name and/or photo in any internal or external advertising or promotional material for a period of twelve (12) months from the date on which the winner accepts the Prize.
- East Coast Radio will determine the nature and distribution of these materials. If a winner does not consent to the publication of his/her name and/or photo, the winner will still receive the prize.
- By entering this competition, a participant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

- The judges’ decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered.

THE PRIZE:
The winner will receive an all-expenses paid, seven (7) night holiday for two people at the 4-star deluxe C Mauritius resort in Mauritius, brought to you by Thompsons Holidays, including return economy-class flights from Johannesburg to Mauritius on Air Mauritius with airport taxes sponsored by Mauritius Tourism. Local return flights for two to Johannesburg are included in the total prize package, valued at R90,000.
• 7 nights’ accommodation at the 4-star deluxe C Mauritius Resort for two (2) people sharing:
- All-inclusive meal package
- Return seat in coach airport/hotel transfers
- All non-motorised water sports
- Evening entertainment
• This prize is subject to availability at the hotel.
• The prize cannot be taken during peak holiday periods and school holidays, including Easter and Christmas holiday periods, and public holiday long weekends.
• Bookings are subject to accommodation AND flight availability.
• Thompsons Holidays reserves the right to move the reservation to another hotel if necessary.
• The validity period of the prize (hotel accommodation/flights) is one calendar year from the date of issue of the prize letter.
• Redemption of the prize must be within this stipulated period, if not, it will be deemed forfeited by the winner. A valid identification of the winner is requested to redeem the prize.
• This prize is non-transferable, non-redeemable for cash, non-refundable, non-upgradeable and cannot be extended.
• Any amendments to bookings could result in a penalty fee.
• The names given for a booking must be the same as those written in the passport.
• The hotel reserves the right to cancel or amend travel arrangements at any time.
• Spending money, travel insurance (including Covid-19 travel cover), passports, visas (if required) and all other items of a personal nature, as well as the obtaining of any of these, are all excluded from the prize and are for the responsibility of the winner.
• South African passports must be valid for a minimum of six months from the date of return.
• The winner must be fully vaccinated with the Covid-19 vaccination to enter Mauritius.
• Mauritius Tourism will pay for the costs of two (2) PCR tests per person, for entry into Mauritius and re-entry into South Africa, should this be a travel requirement of the two countries at the time of travel.
