SA singer Belinda Davids wows at New York show

Watch Belinda Davids' powerful performance of Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' at the Apollo Theatre.
Belinda Davids flew South Africa's flag high during a recent performance at the Apollo Theatre in New York City.
Performing at the world famous theatre is on the bucket list of many singers.
Belinda, who is originally from Port Elizabeth, belted out Whitney Houston's hit single, 'I Will Always Love You', live during the 'Showtime at the Apollo: Christmas' special.
The special features performances from professional and up-and-coming artists.
The audience was a bit skeptical when Belinda revealed she would be singing the classic, and one woman told her to "sit down" as she sang her first note.
But she showed off her impressive vocals, and received a standing ovation.
Host Steve Harvey was equally impressed.
"You did that... You were singing, girl," he told her.
