Lorde's sexy Coachella appearance

Lorde is gearing up for the release of her second album, and is giving fans a taste of what they can expect.

The "Royals" hitmaker performed on the closing night of the Coachella Music Festival in California at the weekend, and surprised concert goers with a sultry performance. 

Dressed in a sequin jumpsuit and sneakers, the 20-year-old did not hold back during her appearance. 

It's her second weekend at Coachella in a row, after performing several new songs, including 'Homemade Dynamite' during the opening Easter weekend.

Lorde told The Spinoff New Zealand it was wonderful being back on the Coachella stage after four years. 

"It was different but a nice little circle back around. It’s obviously such a weird hardcore show for what is basically the first of the whole cycle. It doesn’t leave a whole lot of room to fuck it up, but I kind of thrive in those bizarre, high-pressure situations. Obviously we have a lot to work on and polish, but it felt like a nice start and the energy of it was cool. I dunno … It was just fun. It was fun to be onstage chatting and singing and dancing around," she said. 

Lorde is preparing to make a big comeback in June, when she drops her new album, 'Melodrama'. 

The first single off the album, 'Green Light', is already proving to be a major hit.

It's currently at number 26 on the Coca-Cola Top 40 chart.
