Shekhinah is the only South African female singer to make it onto Forbes Africa's Under 30 list.

The 2018 Forbes Africa Under 30 list has been released and some of South Africa’s youngest and biggest stars made the cut.
The Forbes Under 30 list celebrates thirty of Africa’s young creatives who are making waves across different industries such as music, art, media, film, and fashion. Of the thirty creatives that were chosen, fourteen of them are South African.
When it came to selecting the youngest kings and queens of music in Africa, five South African musicians were chosen; Cassper Nyovest, Shekhinah, Kwesta, Anatii, and Nasty C.
Other South African artists who made it onto the list were actress Sasha Pieterse, visual artiste Tony Gum, actress Mapaseka Koetle-Nyokon, fashion designer Rina Chunga-Kutama, visual artiste Simphiwe Ndzube, poet and author Koleka Putuma, TV presenter and actress Nomzamo Mbatha, fashion designer Orapeleng Modutle, and actress Thuso Mbedu.
Shekhinah's song 'Please Mr (Clean Version)' is currently at number 28 on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
Carol Ofori and Ricky take you through 40 of the planet’s hottest songs in our weekly chart show, the Coca-Cola Top 40, on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.
