Fifth Harmony explain why they 'dissed' Camilla Cabello
Updated | By Tamlyn Canham
Fifth Harmony threw some major shade at ex group member Camilla Cabello during a recent performance.
Fifth Harmony have set the record straight about why they seemingly dissed former group member, Camilla Cabello, during their performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
Camilla left the group last year, and seems to have cut all ties with the rest of the girls. She unfollowed the group on Instagram, and they appear to have done the same.
But it seems the remaining members are having the last laugh following her departure.
At the beginning of their performance of 'Angel' at the MTV VMAs there seemed to be five members on stage, but one suddenly falls backwards off the stage - leaving just the four of them.
While their fans were convinced they were taking a public swipe at Camilla, the band insists it was more to show how unified they are.
"We get asked all the time if we're getting a fifth member. And we wanted to show the world in an artistic way that, hey, the four of us are Fifth Harmony, and we're stronger and better than we've ever been, and honestly it was such a monumental moment for us. We were at the VMAs!" Brooke told Good Morning America.
The group is doing just fine without Camilla.
The won the "Best Pop' VMA for their hit single, 'Down' featuring Gucci Mane.
The song is currently at number 31 on the Coca-Cola Top 40.
Camilla is not doing too bad either. Her debut solo single, 'Crying in the Club' is at number 32.
