Demi Lovato apologises for sexual prank on bodyguard

Demi Lovato has been accused of trivialising sexual assault.
Sexual harassment is a serious problem around the world and is never something to be made fun of.
Singer Demi Lovato recently came under fire for pulling a prank on her bodyguard, Max, which many have labeled as ‘sexual harassment’.
During a Twitter engagement on Sunday about some of the funniest pranks she has ever pulled, Demi tweeted that she once hired a sex worker to entertain one of her bodyguards, Max.
The most amusing part for Demi was how the sex worker walked into the bodyguard’s room without permission and grabbed him by his private parts, leaving him freaked out.
"She walked into his room without permission and grabbed him in his ‘area’ and he freaked the f— out hahahahaha,” she said in a Tweet that she since deleted.
Although Demi found this amusing, many of her Twitter followers were not impressed. They accused her of trivialising sexual assault.
Demi has since apologised for the incident and alluded to being sexually abused herself.
“For all of those coming at me, listen to the lyrics of Warrior and maybe you’ll have more compassion for someone who made a simple mistake. Of all people I know about sexual abuse. You don’t have to educate me.”

In the song 'Warrior', she sings: "There's a part of me I can't get back. A little girl grew up too fast. All it took was once. I’ll never be the same."
Demi has apologised for the prank.
“So sorry if anyone was offended,” she tweeted.
