Hello East Coast Radio and Halfway.
I know many people have probably written to you about their mothers but I feel like my mom deserves this because of the hardships she has been through and still came out strong afterwards.
Raising five children on her own, struggling financially and cooking outside on a wood fire due to circumstances gave me the resilience I have today as a grown woman.
She has showed us all the love, compassion and warmth of a good home without feeling the pinch of financial struggle whilst growing up.

For her 50th birthday a few years back, my brothers and sisters wanted to surprise her with a trip to a dream destination.
Alas, due to the complications called finances played a huge role in her not being able to go so we bought a cake and celebrated at home instead.
She is now edging closer to 60 years old but we still feel like we didn't do justice for her 50th birthday.
Please help us make her dream destination come true!
It would be awesome to do this for my mother.

Hi Darren and Big Favour.
I trust you're good and well. I was hoping to get a big favour as I have an urgent problem that I know you can solve.
On the 15 December 2022 will mark me and my husband's 15th wedding anniversary.
We are planning a vow renewal on the 16 December.

My husband is a real hard working man and has been great to me for all these years.
I just want to spoil him for a weekend away.

I remember when we got married, his mom had passed away 2 months earlier. We didn't have a big wedding or honeymoon.
We got married on the Saturday, before you know it, it's already Monday and we're back to work.
We haven't had time to ourselves as his aunt had also passed away soon after we had to take care of his cousins. They are now married and are doing extremely well.
Thereafter my father got very ill and we had to move in with my parents in order to look after them.

Single mom receives timely Big Favour boost thanks to Halfway

Good morning East Coast Radio and the Big Favour.
I would like to nominate my friend Sandy Govender and her daughter Clarissa.
Sandy, is a single mom who is battling serious health issues, suffering sudden black outs and sustaining injuries from these unexplained falls.
Unfortunately she is on the waiting list for a MRI at the state hospital.
Clarissa is 32 years old, she's cerebral palsy and confined to the sofa at home.
She does have use of her limbs and is totally dependent on Sandy for care.

The only trips that Sandy does is to the state hospital for her checkups and medical care.
Clarissa has not seen the outside world in more than a year, as she can no longer fit into her standard wheelchair.
Getting a larger one is something they cannot afford on their single income of a disability grant.
A trip to the beach may seem a simple request to some but it would be the the best treat for these two who do not get this opportunity due to their circumstances.
I humbly appeal to you to please consider them and bless them with this treat.
Journey to a beach resort or just the beach would be the best break this mom and daughter could get.

Grandmother gets experience of a lifetime thanks to Halfway and the Big Favour

I would like to nominate my grandmother Teresa Noelene Paul A.K.A Brenda.
The reason for this is because she is a hardworking, caring and giving grandmother that goes above and beyond for not only her own grandchildren but others.
She has spent her life growing up her children, grandchildren and now great grandchildren while still taking in other people who are in need.
I have always seen my grandmother take her last and give to those in need even if it meant she had done with out.
Her most favorite sayings in life is god will make a plan.

Even in moments of loss and grieving which she has experienced before when her children have passed on, she always still worried about others.
I feel she deserves the opportunity to feel appreciated and seen for all she does for us and for others.
This is one for all the grandmothers out there doing amazing jobs for their families.
They are the back bone to our families.
