Big Favour: Uplifting a marginalised community in Eshowe
Updated | By East Coast Radio
Some life-changing assistance thanks to KZN Slots.
A heartfelt plea from Feroza Suleman from Built Environment Support Group reached the compassionate ears of East Coast Radio's Big Favour team. A community in Eshowe will receive some life-changing assistance thanks to this Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation shining a light on the situation.
Over the last six years BESG’s has had interlocking programmes of Building Sustainable Human Settlements and Promoting Good Governance and Deepening Democracy.
This organisation is instrumental in advocating in improved living conditions and today they share how older women from Enkanini, Eshowe spend a majority of their day collecting water and watering their crops. Peace shares that the ladies had a water pump but have tirelessly tried to fix it. It is now beyond repair.
The average age of the ladies are 60 and are in desperate need of a pump.
Company: Grand Gaming KZN Slots
Here's how The Big Favour and KZN Slots were able to help this community:
Thanks to the generosity of KZN Slots, the entire cost of the pump and the labour to install it has been covered.
Feroza, Peace and Dhamian Munien join us in studio for this special moment. Have a listen to the emotional studio interaction here:
Make sure to catch the Big Favour every Wednesday just after 7am. Caring for those who are in need.
