The community came together to throw Marko a lifeline...

East Coast Radio and our province have been deeply moved by the severe impact of the serious weather conditions. In the midst of devastating floods that wreaked havoc in Margate, one story was submitted to The Big Favour.
Marko is a dedicated mechanic who poured his heart and soul into his workshop, P.M.G. - Panic Mechanic's Garage. His livelihood was swept away as the floods mercilessly destroyed everything in its path.
Tongaat resident: "The devastation to our community is severe"
Marko’s workshop wasn’t just a place of business; it was also his home. As a mobile mechanic, Marko relied on his vehicles to reach clients and provide essential services. Now, both of his vehicles lay submerged and damaged beyond repair, leaving him stranded in a sea of uncertainty.
The community began to rally around Marko. Small acts of kindness from donated food parcels to used tools poured in from neighbours and friends who understood the depth of Marko’s loss.
We are committed to intervening swiftly to assist affected people in times of need. As part of The Big Favour campaign, East Coast Radio and KZN Slots are proud to donate R10,000 to help Marko get back on his feet.
BIG FAVOUR: DONATE
