Big Favour: The Jugdeep family gets a big break from Coo-ee
A family going through a heart breaking ordeal receives much-needed good news from The Big Favour and Coo-ee.
Unfortunately, some people don’t have access to the basics of life, and some are fighting for their lives.
The beverage company Coo-ee has donated funds towards well-deserving candidates.

Hi East Coast Radio.
I write this nomination to you with tears in my eyes.
I would like to nominate my friends mum, Laura Pillay. She has a family of 4 and they DESPERATELY need assistance.

Their home was burnt on Sunday, 15th January, caused by an electric spark from their geyser. They reside in Westham, Phoenix, Durban. They have lost everything.
When I say everything, I really mean everything. She is a pillar in her community. I went to high school with her daughter. We were extremely close and her mum took care of me.
Bought me clothes and packed me lunch every day as I came from a poor home.
Its not just me that she's helped, the surrounding community has many poverty stricken homes and this family always went the extra mile to assist anyone.
Feeding the community, having Christmas parties for the less fortunate kids and purchasing school hampers. Now, this family needs help and I would be so grateful if The Big Favour could lend a helping hand to get them back on their feet.

My friend also has a little son who is 5 who is extremely scared and confused right now. Any clothing, furniture, bedding, home accessories, dishes or cutlery will be so appreciated right now.
I am asking everyone I know, family, friends and work colleagues for assistance and trying to go around collecting these items after working hours as well.
It's alot for 1 person who has a full time job so if you guys could PLEASE help me help them.
Ladies clothing, sizes 30/32, shoe size 4 and 5. Men 38/XXL, shoe size 9. Baby boys clothing 4-5 years, shoe size 10.
