Teenager's birthday party goes viral!
Updated | By East Coast Drive
Imagine receiving over 1-million RSVPs for your birthday party?!
If you decide to post anything on social media, always be prepared for a chance that it could blow up or go completely viral. This was the case for Rubi Ibarra Garcia, a 15-year-old girl from Mexico.
A video which shows Rubi and her parents was posted on Facebook inviting people to come and attend Rubi’s ‘quinceanera’ - which is a coming of age birthday celebrated in Mexico and other Latin American countries. Rubi’s dad made the mistake of concluding the video by saying: ‘hereby everyone is cordially invited’. Big mistake.

This open invitation went viral and people began sharing it. Over 1.2-million people have already RSVP’d. Rubi’s dad is completely shocked and recently told the media that the invite was for the people from the community only. Police and the Red Cross had to be alerted and be deployed to roads for the fear of things getting out of control.

Be wary of sending out public invitations. You may just have the entire world at your party.
