Sky: 5 tips before you enter the Kasi
Updated | By Sky Tshabalala
I have 5 tips you need when going to the township aka
Ekasi if you have never been there before.
The Cell C Sharks have embarked on a great initiative with Durban Tourism to take ABSA Currie Cup matches to three townships in KZN namely Clermont , KwaMashu and Umlazi.
1. First thing first, there is no Hello, hey when greeting. You have to use slang like Heita, Moja, grand, sho case. Kasi is all about being cool.
2. If you going to take a taxi make sure you bring
change. Don't pay with R50 or R100 notes because you going to delay the whole
trip and you going to be the last one out. Your individual fare cost won’t cost
you more than R10. It's safer to have coins.
3. Brace yourself for Vuvuzelas on the way to the stadium and inside the stadium. It's going to be very loud at the stadium and if you sitting in an area where there is singing just bounce your head around and act like you also singing (we love a wit oak who knows our songs)
4. If you are a vegetarian EISH bring a LUNCHBOX. In the township we deal with Shisanyama's only no vegetables markets and cute veggies. Adapt or starve
