Updated | By Keri Miller
For a lot of us, this is the last week of work and it is full steam ahead for all things festive, here some tips & tricks to save your ho-ho-holiday :)
I thought i would share with you some of my favourite festive hacks. A little gift from me to you.
Are you in charge of the dessert? Do you love ice cream but hate when it over freezes and it's hard to scoop out?
Keep ice cream soft with this cool trick...
What you will need:
1 x tub ice cream
1 x large zip lock bag
1 x freezer

What to do:
Place the entire ice cream container into the bag, get all the air out of the bag and close. Put ice cream in the freezer.
Supposedly, the bag keeps the air around the ice cream from getting too cold, resulting in easily scoopable ice cream.
While you are in the freezer.... this is one of the best hacks I found for keeping a drink cool for a really long time.
What you will need:
- 1 x water bottle (needs to be able to go into the freezer)
- Water
What to do:
Fill the bottle half way with water. Place bottle in the freezer and freeze overnight. Make sure the bottle is upright.
When you are ready for your drink, just top up the bottle with your drink of choice. Water is definitely a winner because the ice will water your drink down.
Cool and refreshing... all day long.

Wondering what to do with all the wrapping paper lying around after opening up all your prezzies? Instead of throwing it in the trash, here's a cool way to repurpose it.
What you need:
1 x big empty box
Wrapping paper

What to do:
Wrap the empty box and place it in a place that is convenient enough for your rubbish to be just one throw away. And it will just look like a big pressie in your space.
Talking about wrapping... try double sided tape instead of normal tape for a much cleaner, more professional look.
