Dog owner asks public to help say goodbye to greyhound

A heartbreaking story which involves a man, his greyhound, and their final walk together has hit the internet.
A dog is truly a man's best friend and Walnut the greyhound has been the best friend of UK man Mark Wood for many years.
But Walnut's health has started to deteriorate and he's really battling, so his owner has had to make the difficult decision to have Walnut put down.

This is so heartbreaking, but also such a heartwarming story at the same time.
Before Walnut goes, Mark wants to make his best friend's last day the most joyous ever. Mark has taken to social media to ask people to join him with Walnut as they take a final walk on Walnut's favourite beach in Cornwall, where he will get the farewell that he truly deserves.

Mark is appealing to his friends, family, and even fellow dog lovers to join in on the celebration walk in honour of Walnut's life. The walk will take place on Saturday, 12 November.
