Two Eshowe schools are gearing up to take each other on when The East Coast Radio Breakfast Tour rolls into town on Monday, 28 July.

Pupils from John Wesley School will be up against children from the Holy Childhood Convent School in a war cry challenge facilitated by Darren Maule.

Darren and his team mates – Natarah Nadesan, Gabriel Sithole and producer Gorgeous George – will be broadcasting live from the Fort Nongqayi Museum in Eshowe on 28 July. It's the penultimate stop on the East Coast Breakfast Tour

The team arrives the day before in their big, yellow tour bus and will head off to Shakaland for an authentic cultural experience.

Then it’s off to bed to be up at the crack of dawn to prep for the action-packed outside broadcast from 6am to 9am.

So come on down to Fort Nongqayi Museum, have a coffee and a muffin on us, and let Darren know what’s so unique and interesting about Eshowe.

“I can’t wait to see you guys!” says Darren. “It’s going to be absolutely fantastic!”

In addition to the schools war cry challenge, Darren will be roping in little ones between the ages of 9 and 12 to take part in a special Eshowe-edition of The Grand Challenge. The questions will be especially designed for this leg of the tour.
