WATCH: Truck fire forces road closure on N3 near Peacevale
Authorities on Thursday morning were on the scene of a truck fire that closed off the N3 to Durban just after Peacevale.
The South African National Roads Agency's Dumisani Nkabinde said it remained unclear what caused the blaze.
The incident happened after the Cliffdale off-ramp.
No one was hurt.

Nkabinde advised motorists to use alternative routes.
"The R103 is accessible. You can utilise it going down to Durban. You can take a number of various off-ramps before Peacevale, like at Hammersdale - you can take the off-ramp there and an off-ramp at Umlaas Road and Cato Ridge."
He said it cannot be determined when the scene will be cleared.
"It is live right now. We are watching it from our traffic control centre together with officers from RTI. We have deployed officers, and they are there. We are also trying to get our tow vehicles and assistance in terms of fire extinguishing there."
