Vehicles burnt in Durban CBD workshop fire
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Durban firefighters say they worked for almost two hours to extinguish a massive fire in the CBD early this morning.

More than a dozen vehicles were torched in the blaze - along Stalwart Simelane Street - that's the old Stanger Street. Station Commander, Musa Biyela says the property appears to be a workshop.
"We received a call just after midnight for a fire on Stanger Street. When we got there, the fire was already in an advanced stage. Our primary objective was to prevent the fire from spreading to the neighbouring properties.
"So we did that. We put the lines in place to protect the exposures and then we attacked the fire. There was a number of vehicles that were there since it was a workshop," he says.
