Wits university protest intensifies
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The protest at Wits university has intensified as students continue protests against a proposed university fee hike.

Entrances to the institution are barred by protestors while several security guards keep watch of the crowd following the two-day strike.
Reports say students are protesting due to a proposed 10.5% hike in fees as of next year.
The university's Vice Chancellor Adam Habib is expected to meet with student representatives after lectures and academic activities were suspended.
The march has trended on social media with hashtags #Witsfeesmustfall, #Wits and #Witsfees.
