Former President Thabo Mbeki has written a personal letter to President Jacob Zuma.
This comes a day after the Public Protector released the much-anticipated report into state capture. The reports implicates the head of state, Eskom CEO Brian Molefe and Co-operative Governance Minister Des Van Rooyen as well as the politically-connected family, The Guptas.
Dozens of ANC stalwarts are urging President Zuma to meet with them to discuss the state of the ruling party while opposition parties have vowed to file a motion to unseat the president.
