Joburg officials trying to get naked highway man help
In Johannesburg, morning peak-hour traffic on the usually busy M1 freeway was further severely disrupted by a man who was baring it all.
Some motorists took to social media to vent their frustration at the naked man who casually walked on the road while those who were amused by the spectacle shared photos.
Johannesburg Metro Police spokesperson, Wayne Minnaar, says the man dodged officers who tried to get him off the road.
Minnaar says they are trying to get him help.
"We are aware of a person mentally disturbed living close to the freeway who is homeless. We suspect that it's the same homeless person who was meant to be taken to a mental asylum," he said.
